ABOUT THE ARTIST

Raised beside the beach, Christchurch based artist Jade Sintes draws inspiration from her coastal surroundings.

"I work in a variety of mediums, from inks to oils and everything in between, using a blend of the local landscape and iconic Kiwi symbology ". 

She started drawing at a very young age, and went on to study fine art and graphic design at Secondary School, where she developed her love of painting.  At University she branched off, following a passion for business, and completed a Commerce Degree in Marketing & Human Resource Management. She’s spent the past decade working in a creative agency based in Christchurch.

In her spare time, Jade can be found either exploring the local hills, up in the mountains skiing, or in the ocean surfing at her local beaches.

Jade paints everything from wildlife, NZ native birds, through to local landscapes and beaches. Be sure to check out her more recent oil works, which include a colourful array of colour waves and glistening coastal scenes.
